Sweet Smooshie Overload!

So, the smooshies are now 3 & 1/2 weeks old and it is so fun to see their little personalities emerge. They are all gaining by leaps and bounds with everyone over 2 pounds. These are the sweetest puppies and love nothing more than to be held and loved! :-) Baby teeth are coming in and they also enjoy grabbing pant legs and nibbling toes! Lol Gotta love that herding instinct.

Solid Food Rocks!

I know it has been awhile since my last post but things have been really busy lately. The smooshies are starting to look like miniature dogs now. They are loving their special puppy mush (still nursing too), motor around the box really well, wag their tails, wrestle with each other, play with toys and bark. I will move them today into an area where they can see and be seen by the entire household. Their aunties are very interested in meeting them! :-)

Well, these pictures were definitely a challenge! The little smooshies are VERY mobile and have minds of their own. They ran the gamut from "ants in my pants" to "super bored rug puppy". Well, I knew she would get there eventually. She just had a longer way to go than the others but she made it!  :-)

On another note, 7 out of 9 peepers are open and the other 2 are half way there. I will most likely take official 2 week pictures Monday or Tuesday. I have to find my camera and get a helper to pose the smooshies. I am sure my mom will be up for the task again.

Wendell (Yellow Boy) Is Now Over a Pound! :-)

Super excited that Wendell has finally joined the pounder club! He is the 8th puppy to accomplish this milestone! The only smooshie still under a pound is little miss orange (Utopia). I have no doubt she will get there soon as she has always been a fighter. She sure fits the bill of small but mighty! :-)

So, I don't have any official individual pictures yet of the smooshies as I am waiting for peepers to open. Most have corners or slits open so it should not be long before their world expands. They can definitely hear me and it is so cute when they walk around like big dogs!:-) Ditto is still being an excellent mom and some how manages to keep all of their bellies full. Maybe, she is part milk cow! :-o
