Fudge/Mimi Smooshies Coming Soon...

Mimi at 4 weeks (just a hint of a baby bump)

So it is official! The AI of the Fudgesicles took and Fudge/Mimi babies are expected the 20th/21st of August! The ultrasound on the 18th showed 5-6 puppies but a x-ray will be taken at 7-8 weeks to get a better count. :-)

For those of you new to the blog, my girl Mimi (CH Camelot's Out of the Blue) was bred to Fudge (CH Trudytales About Last Night ROMg). Fudge is a very handsome dog and he looked great moving at the Nationals this year! I cannot thank Elaine Collins enough for letting me use such a quality dog  for my Mimi! :-) Click on the link for a pedigree for this match up. These puppies should be very nice with lovely temperaments! There are still pet/performance spots available. If you are interested in adding one of these smooshies to your home please e-mail me at corgidoctor@gmail.com and tell me a little bit about yourself and what you are looking for.

Riley Becomes A Champion :-)

I am so super proud of my smooshie Riley! She finished her AKC championship in style over the weekend in Dallas with back to back majors! As always, she was expertly handled by Barbara Weiner. Riley will now be known as CH Snapdragon Something Unspoken. She is from the Ditto/Chase litter which just turned a year old at the end of June. Her CH is even more exciting for me because she is my first home bred champion here at Snapdragon Cardigans:-) Riley & I will now be working on some obedience. The sky is the limit with this girl!

Riley's red brother Killian of McCombs Cardigans also gained 2 more points over the weekend. He now has 6 points toward his CH. Go Mr red smooshie! :-)

On another note, I will take Mimi (CH Camelot's Out of the Blue) in on the 19th for an ultrasound to see if she is with smooshies! :-) Fingers crossed for Fudge/Mimi smooshies in August!

Thumper Settles In...

Well it looks like Thumper has made her self at home with Lynn and Peter already! Lynn reports that little Ms Lumpling is very affectionate and the introductions to her new siblings have gone well. :-) Judging from the pictures and text, I could not have asked for a better home for such a special girl!
