Yancey & Stanley Headed Off To Their New Homes Today

Bright and early this morning, Yancey and Stanley headed off to new adventures in Oregon! It was hard to watch them go but I know that they will have great new homes! :-) I tried not to cry too much.
Yancey (name may change) will get to grow and learn how to be a show dog with Kim (Coedwig's Cardigans) and Stanley will have a great time with Susan as a companion and maybe even learn to be a therapy dog. Hopefully, I will get pictures of the boys as they grow.

Utopia Is Headed to Her New Home in Maine.....



   

Well, we thought we could beat Hurricane Irene and get Utopia to her new home in Maine today but I guess Mother nature had different plans! Michelle came and picked up Utopia from the clinic this morning so that she could fly her in cabin to her mother in Maine. However, all flights in that area of the country have been cancelled. Hopefully, everyone in the path of Irene will stay safe! Utopia will just get to spend a little more time with her siblings and we will try again at the end of the week. I know my mom will enjoy having more cuddle time with Utopia (she was her favorite)! :-)

On another note, Wendell is doing GREAT in his new home. His new family really loves him and I hear that he may even get his own blog soon! :-) It also works because I get to see him when Heather (office manager at the clinic where I work) brings him to work for extra cuddles and love. Oh, did I mention Wendell is also very fashion forward! Lol

Ditto/Chase Puppies 8 Week Stacked Pictures

I know it has been awhile since my last blog but it has definitely been a hectic week! The puppy party was on Saturday. It was a little crowded and just a touch warm (poor old AC unit was working overtime) but everyone seemed to have a good time. Overall the consensus was that this litter had very good depth of quality! :-) Thank you to Penni and Lisa Phillips for helping with the assessments and handling! I learned so much. It was also nice to see everyone else there.
Yancey and Vance are destined for show homes. Riley will be staying with me for show. I arm wrestled Penni to get her back. I guess eating all of that spinach payed off! Lol :-)
Wendell went to his new home after the party but I will get to see him pretty regularly as he went to live with the office manager at the clinic where I work. Other puppies are also heading to their new homes soon.

The puppy evaluation party is tomorrow, so hopefully we can get some really good stacked pictures of the smooshies. I am trying to not think about some of my little smooshies going away and I will try my best not to cry. They are definitely a whole lot of work but they have really grown on me!

It Is Hard Being a Puppy!!

All of the smooshies are doing well. I cannot believe they are already 7 weeks old! The time just seems to have flown by. :-) I can still remember talking to them inside of Ditto and when they were just little furry slugs. The official puppy evaluation party is next Saturday. Penni will be flying in and hopefully we will also have a collection of other Cardigan breeders in attendance. Some of the smooshies will even be going to their new homes soon. It will be sad on my end but I know they will be going to GREAT homes! :-)
On another note, congratulations Penni (and owners) on the wins of the Chase/Scouts puppies at the Western Reserve!

Ditto/Chase Puppies Official 6 Week Pictures

I know everyone has been patiently waiting for official weekly pictures! I missed the 5 week mark and did my best today to get 6 week pictures of the smooshies. It seems the older they get, the less eager they are to play my "stand on the table pretty" game! :-) Some appeared bored by the whole process while others could have sworn we had invented a new kind of puppy torture. At least they are all toy and treat (turkey wieners)motivated.
The smooshies also enjoyed their visit today from Chris, Michelle and friends. They must have slept for 3 hours straight afterwards!
